Dr. Moore, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, was raised in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. He obtained a BA degree from Washington and Jefferson College and received his Doctorate in Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine. Following his internship at Allentown General Hospital, he served in the United States Navy at Yorktown Naval Weapons Station. Following his Navy tour of duty he completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.

He has been in practice in Newport News, Virginia since 1972. He is a member of the Newport News Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the Virginia Medical Society, and the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Moore is another valuable experienced member of the Hampton Roads Eye Associates' Team.
