Riverside Regional Medical Center Only hospital in Virginia to receive 2007 Hospital of Choice Award

Newport News Va. - Recognized as one of the most customer-friendly hospitals in the United States Riverside Regional Medical Center was  selected to receive this year's Hospital of Choice Award from the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers (AAHCP). Riverside has received this award for the past three years.

“The Hospital of Choice Awards are uniquely designed to identify America's Most Customer-Friendly Hospitals” stated Mr. Ric Vincent Parr, President of American Alliance of Healthcare Providers,.  “this year's recipent's were extremely difficult to narrow down
because of the competitive nature of the selection criteria.” Mr.Parr continued.

The selection process involved reviewing public information such as websites, news releases, announcements, as well as phone surveys of hospital staff and applications submitted for review. The Awards were expanded this year to recognize America's 100 Choice Hospitals.  In addition, 20 hospitals received honorable mentions.
