On February 4, 2008, John Janousek, M.D. began offering urgent/walk-in care services at Riverside Hayes Medical Center located at 2246 George Washington Memorial Highway.

Dr. Janousek, a board-certified emergency physician, will serve as Medical Director of Riverside StatMD and will work closely with Daniel Muench, M.D., family physician in helping to meet the healthcare needs of the Gloucester community. Although urgent care hours are currently limited, beginning April 1, Riverside StatMD will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. Appointments are not necessary. 

An experienced emergency and urgent care physician, Dr. Janousek earned his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk and completed residency training at Darnall Army Community Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Physicians and Fellow of the American Board of Emergency Physicians.
